distance covered by a car in first two second will equal to the area under v-t graph upto 2 seconds =1/2*15*2=15m

distance covered by car when it is moving with 15m/s =4*15=60m

total distance travelled by the car =15+60+15=90m

(a) The distance travelled by the car is first 2 seconds is 15 m

(b) Distance covered by car when it is moving with a uniform speed of 15m/s is 60 m

(c) Total distance travelled by the car is 90 m

Explanation:

We know that in a velocity time graph, the distance travelled in time t = area under the velocity-time graph upto time t

(a) The distance travelled by the car in first 2 seconds

= Area of first triangle

=\frac{1}{2}\times 15\times 2

=15 m

(b) Distance travelled by car when it is moving with uniform speed 15 m/s

= Area of the rectangular part

=15\times (6-2)

=15\times 4

=60 m

(c) Total distance travelled by car

= 15 + 60 + Area of the second tringula portion of the graph

=75+\frac{1}{2}\times 15\times (8-6)

=75+15

=90 m
