The figure below shows an incomplete velocity-time graph for a boy running 100 metre.
a. What is his acceleration during the motion represented by AB.
b. What is his acceleration during BC

Explanation:

During AB:-

initial velocity= 0

final velocity= 5

hence, final velocity- initial velocity= 5

acceleration= final velocity- initial velocity/time= 5/4 = 1.25 m/

during BC:-

the velocity is constant.

hence ,the change in velocity is zero .so , acceleration should be also 0.

acceleration during BC= 0 m/
