The figure below shows the reading on a micrometer screw gauge when it is used to measure the diameter of a thin wire. One complete turn of the thimble is 0.50 mm. Please someone help me.​

You didn't include the diagram, but I have the physics textbook you took the question from.

Look at pg. 14 of the book and the diagram. You'll see where the lines of the main scale meet with the thimble scale. That's 0.16 mm.

Reading = Main scale + thimble scale

0.50 + 0.16 = 0.66 mm
