Answer:

6 cm, 20°, 160°

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Value of x:

x+5=2x-1 => x=6 cm

Parallel sides are equal

2. Value of y:

∠DAC=∠ACB as AD parallel with BC and AB is parallel with DC

y+65°+95°=180° => y=20°

3. Value of z:

As above, ∠ACD=∠CAB

y+z=180° => z=180°-20°=160°

Given :

ABCD is a parallelogram ..

ABCD is a parallelogram ..AB = ( 2x - 1 ) cm

ABCD is a parallelogram ..AB = ( 2x - 1 ) cmCD = ( x + 5 ) cm

<DAC = 65 °

<BAC = y

<B = 95 °

<DCE = z

To find :

x = ?

y = ?

z = ?

Solution :

Since ,, ABCD is a parallelogram ,,,,

AB = CD ( bcz opp. sides of ||gm are equal )

2x - 1 = x + 5

2x - x = 5 + 1

x = 6

<A + < B = 180 ° ( bcz consecutive angles are supplementary )

65° + y + 95 ° = 180 °

65° + y + 95 ° = 180 ° 160 ° + y = 180 °

65° + y + 95 ° = 180 ° 160 ° + y = 180 ° y = 180 ° - 160 °

65° + y + 95 ° = 180 ° 160 ° + y = 180 ° y = 180 ° - 160 ° y = 20 °

< BAC = < ACD = y ( alternate interior angles )

< ACD = 20 °

Since ,,, ACE is a straight line ,,

< ACE = 180°

< ACD + <DCE = 180 °

20 ° + z = 180 °

z = 180 ° - 20 °

z = 160 °

Answer :

x = 6

y = 20 °

z = 160 °
