the figure shows the length in centimetres of the sides of a triangle if the triangle is equilateral find the value of x and y also find the perimeter of the triangle​

Answer:

5x + 3 = 3x + 7 = 1 + 1/3y

5x + 3 = 3x + 7

5x - 3x = 7 - 3

2x = 4

x = 4/2

x = 2 cm

Now putting the value of x

5 × 2 + 3 = 13 cm

Therefore all the sides are 13 cm

For y

1 + 1/3 y = 13

( 3 + 1 ) × y / 3 = 13

4y = 39

y = 39 / 4 cm
