Apple was founded by Steven Paul Jobs, the son of a Syrian father and American mother. He was given up for adoption after birth and his future parents promised to sign a contract stating that they would put Steve through college. Although he finally dropped out of his senior high college, he never blamed it on his adoptive parents. Instead, he wished to save them from bankruptcy, which was imminent after they funded his expensive college course.

He met with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak when he was in Los Altos and they formed a close bond which eventually culminated in them jointly setting up Apple.

Although he was fired from the company that he helped to create, he was reinstated several times after that. He was diagnosed with a tumour in 2003. His situation became complicated and Steve Jobs died in 2011.
