Given :   Three classes having number of kids a , b & c  . Kids from all three classes were equally divided between two buses

To find : How many kids were on each bus

Solution:

Kids in first Class = a

kids in second  class = b

kids in third class = c

Total Kids = Kids in first Class  + kids in second  class  + kids in third class

=> Total Kids = a + b + c

all three classes were equally divided between two buses.

=> Total Buses = 2

kids on each bus  = Total kids / total Buses

=> kids on each bus  =  (a + b + c)/2
