The first group of 10 children has a mean weight of 16kg ,the second group of another 10 children has a mean weight of 16kg and the third group of children has a mean weight of 20. If the mean weight of the children is 17.5kg. Find the total number of chilren in all of the three groups.

by similarl way we can find out 2nd group total wt = 160

3rd group = total wt/ no. of child = 20

let us take no. of children be x

then 3rd group total wt will be 20x

taking mean of all 3 groups

total wt of 3 group / total children = 17.5160+160+20x / 10 + 10 +x = 17.5

by solving this

x=12

total children = 10+10+12= 32
