EVALUATION

Here the given sequence is

65 , 62 , 59 ,..

First term = a = 65

Common Difference = d = 62 - 65 = - 3

Let nth term of the sequence is first negative term

nth term of the sequence

= a + ( n - 1 ) d

= 65 - 3( n - 1 )

= 68 - 3n

By the given condition

 \sf{68 - 3n < 0}

 \sf{ \implies \: 3n > 68}

 \sf{ \implies \: n > 22.6}

Since n is a natural number

So n = 23

Hence 23rd term of the sequence is first negative term
