The first rule is add 12, then divide by 2 starting from 4. The second rule is multiply by 2, then subtract 2 starting from 3. What are the first four ordered pairs using the two sequences?

(4, 4), (8, 6), (10, 10), (11, 18)
(0, 4), (3, 6), (4, 10), 5, 18)
(4, 3), (8, 4), (10, 6), (11, 10)

Answer :-

First number is 4 :-

so,

→ Add 12 = 4 + 12 = 16

then,

→ divide by 2 = 16/2 = 8

again,

→ Add 12 = 8 + 12 = 20

→ divide by 2 = 20 / 2 = 10 .

again,

→ Add 12 = 10 + 12 = 22

→ divide by 2 = 22 / 2 = 11 .

Second Number is 3 :-

now,

→ multiply by 2 = 3 * 2 = 6

→ subtract 2 = 6 - 2 = 4 .

again,

→ multiply by 2 = 4 * 2 = 8

→ subtract 2 = 8 - 2 = 6 .

again,

→ multiply by 2 = 6 * 2 = 12

→ subtract 2 = 12 - 2 = 10 .

therefore,

→ first four ordered pairs using the two sequences = (4, 3), (8, 4), (10, 6), (11, 10) (Option 3) (Ans.)
