Given :-

First term of A.P = -1

common difference (d) = 2

To find :-

10th term of the A.P

Formula used :-

Tn = a+(n-1)d

Solution :-

➡️Tₙ = a+(n-1)d

➡️T₁₀ = a+(n-1)d

➡️T₁₀ = -1+(10-1)2

➡️T₁₀ = -1+(9×2)

➡️T₁₀ = -1+ 18

➡️T₁₀ = 17

Answer :-

10th term of the A.P = 17

Answer:

Given :-

  • The first term of an AP is - 1 and common difference is 2.

To Find :-

  • What is the 10th term of an AP.

Formula Used :-

\mapsto \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{T_n =\: a + d(n - 1)}}}\\

where,

  • a = First term of an AP
  • d = Common difference
  • n = Number of terms

Solution :-

Given :

\bigstar\: \: \rm{\bold{First\: term\: (a) =\: - 1}}\\

\bigstar\: \: \rm{\bold{Common\: difference\: (d) =\: 2}}\\

\bigstar\: \: \rm{\bold{Number\: of\: terms\: (n) =\: 10}}\\

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\longrightarrow \sf T_{10} =\: - 1 + 2(10 - 1)

\longrightarrow \sf T_{10} =\: - 1 + 2(10) - 2(1)

\longrightarrow \sf T_{10} =\: - 1 + 20 - 2

\longrightarrow \sf T_{10} =\: 19 - 2

\longrightarrow \sf\bold{\red{T_{10} =\: 17}}

\therefore The 10th term of an AP is 17.
