The first term of an arithmetic progression is 18 and the twelfth term is 46.Find the 18th term of the series??

Answer:

a=18

a12=46

a18= ?

ans = an=a+(n-1)d

a12= 18+(12-1)d

now putting a12 is 46

46=18+11d

46-18=11d

28/11= d

now,

a18 = 18 + 17d

=18+17×28/11

=674/11 ans
