The 10th term of an AP is (p + 9q).

 The first term of an A.P. is p and its common difference is q.

First term(a) = p, d = q

By using the formula , nth term of an AP , an = a + (n - 1)d

a10 = p + (10 - 1)q

a10 = (p + 9q)

Hence , the 10th term of an AP is (p + 9q).

Similiarly, a100=p+(100-1)q

Hence , the 100th term of an AP is (p + 99q).

Answer: a10= p+9q and a100= p+99q

Step-by-step explanation:

i) a= p

b= q

nth term= 10

a nth term= a+(n-1)d

a 10th term= p+(10-1)q

                  = p+9q

ii) a= p

b= q

nth term= 100

a nth term= a+(n-1)d

a 10th term= p+(100-1)q

                  = p+99q

10th term= p+9q

100th term= p+99q
