Answer:

The first three terms of an AP are 1,9,17 then the next two terms are 25,33

Step-by-step explanation:

given that,

   a = 1

  a₂ = 9

  a₃ = 17

we have to find the next two terms of AP that are a₄ and a₅.

we know that the nth term of an arithmetic progression is given by,

                aₙ = a + (n-1) d

                             where. a = first term

                                          n = position of term

                                          d= common difference

common difference, d = a₂ -a = 9-1 = 8

  • fourth term of AP

          a₄ = 1 + (4-1)×8

⇒            = 1+ 3×8

⇒           = 1+24

⇒           = 25

    or we can add common difference to previous term

            a₄ = a₃+d = 17+8 = 25

  • fifth term of AP

          a₅ = a₄+d

⇒           = 25+8

⇒           = 33

hence, the next two terms are 25 and 33
