            The fisherman’s motivation

This extract is taken from the ‘Arabian Nights’. In this extract, a fisherman is the one who plays the important role. While fishing, he finds a closed vase. He then opens the lid of the vase and sees some smoke coming out of the vase. The smoke then forms into the form of a genie. After many conversations, the genie tells the fisherman that he was going to kill the fisherman. Before which he would be granted three wishes.

The scared fisherman had only one motivation. He wanted to find a way to escape from the genie. He then found out a plan. He asked the genie whether he was really inside the vase. He even told that there was no space for him to put one of his legs inside. To this, the genie replied by transforming into smoke and went into the vase. As soon as the genie entered the vase, the fisherman closed the lid of the case and threw it away.
