As we know , temperature of flame is higher than the temperature of surrounding . According to the newton law's of cooling ,rate of loss of heat of a flame is directly propotonal to the difference in tempereture between the flame and surrounding . so, the rate of loss of heat of flame is high . so that flame loose large amount of heat before reaching to our body . hence it doesnot burn our body .
