Step-by-step explanation:

Area of each rhombic tile = 1/2 × product of diagonals

= 1/2 × 45 × 3 cm²

Area of the floor = 20 × Area of 1 tile = 20/2 × 45× 3 cm²

= 2150 cm²

Cost of flooring = 2150 × 3 = Rs.6450

Answer:

  • Number of rhombus shaped tiles = 20
  • Diagonals of each tile = 45 cm and 3 cm
  • Rate of each tile = Rs. 3 per cm²
  • Cost of tiling the floor = ?

To find the cost of tiling, first we will find Area of Each tiles and then Multiply it with Rate.

Area of 20 rhombus shaped tile :

⇒ Area = (½ × D₁ × D₂) × Number of tiles

⇒ Area = (½ × 45 × 3) × 20

⇒ Area = ½ × 45 × 3 × 20

⇒ Area = 45 × 3 × 10

⇒ Area = 1350 cm²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀───────────────

Cost of tiling the floor :

⇢ Cost = Area of tiles required × Rate

⇢ Cost = 1350 cm² × Rs. 3 per cm²

⇢ Cost = 1350 × Rs. 3

Cost = Rs. 4050

Cost of tiling the floor is Rs. 4050.
