Solution➜

☞ Given:The floor of a building consists of 3000tiles which are rhombus shaped and each of its diagonals are 45cm and 30cm in length. Find total cost of polishing the floor, if the cost per m² is Rs4.

☞Formula used:Area of rhombus and conversion of cm² to m².

Let's solve:

Area of 1 rhombus=

 \frac{d1 \times d2}{2}

 \frac{45cm \times 30cm}{2}

675 {cm}^{2}

AREA OF 3000 rhombus=

675cm×3000=2025000cm²

To convert in m² we will divide by

10000.

 \frac{2025000}{10000}

202.5 {m}^{2}

Cost of polishing per m²=₹4

Cost of polishing 202.5m²=

202.5 {m}^{2}  \times rs4 = rs810

HENCEFORTH, THE COST OF POLISHING THE FLOOR IS ₹810.
