Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Total cost = ₹ 9000

● Explanation -

# Given -

l = 100 m

b = 3 m

w = 50 cm = 0.5 m

rate = ₹ 15 /m

# Solution -

Area of the floor of the corridor is -

Area = l × b

Area = 100 × 3

Area = 300 m^2

Length of carpet required is -

x = area / w

x = 300 / 0.5

x = 600 m

Total cost of carpet required is -

Total cost = x × rate

Total cost = 600 × 15

Total cost = ₹ 9000

Therefore, cost of covering the floor with carpet is ₹ 9000.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
