Given :

  • The floor of a drawing room consist of 2000 tiles .Each tiles is rectangular in shape , of dimensions ,30 cm × 20 cm.

\rule{200pt}{3pt}

To Find :

  • Area of the room.

\rule{200pt}{3pt}

Solution :

~ Formula Used :

\large{\blue{\bigstar}} \: \: {\underline{\boxed{\pink{\sf{ Area{\small_{(Rectangle)}} = Length \times Breadth }}}}} \: \: {\blue{\bigstar}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

~ Calculating the Area of Tiles :

{➙ \: {\sf{ Area = Length \times Breadth}}} \\ \\ \ {➙ \: {\sf{ Area = 30 \times 20 }}} \\ \\ \ {\qquad{\textsf{ Area of 1 Tiles = {\purple{\bf{ 600 \: cm² }}}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

~ Calculating Area of the Drawing Room :

{➙ \: {\sf{ Area \: of \: Room \: = No. \: of \: Tiles \times Area \: of \: 1 \: Tile }}} \\ \\ \ {➙ \: {\sf{ Area \: of \: Room \: = 2000 \times 600 }}} \\ \\ \ {\qquad{\sf{ Area \: of \: Room \: = {\color{darkblue}{\bf{ 1200000 \: cm² }}}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

~ Therefore :

❝ Area of the Drawing room is 1200000 cm² or 12000 . ❞

✰ Given :

  • The floor of a drawing room consists of 2000 tiles. Each of the tiles is rectangular in
  • shape, of length 30 cm and width 20 cm.

✰ To Find :

  • The total area of the floor.

✰ Solution :

  • Before finding the total area of the floor, we need to find the area of each tiles .

We know that, Length × Width/Breadth = Area of the rectangle.

So,

 \\  \textsf{Length of the rectangular tiles} =  \tt{30 \:  cm} \\  \\  \\  \textsf{Width of the rectangular tiles = } \tt{20  \: cm} \\  \\  \\  \therefore \:  {\sf{ \pmb{Area  \:  of \:  the \:  1 \:  rectangular  \: tile \:  = Length × Breadth}}} \\  \\  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: =  \tt{30 \: cm \times 20 \: cm} \\  \\  \\  \tt \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:   \:  \:  \:  \:    \:  \:  \:  \: = 600 \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\

Now, Finding the area of the floor of the Drawing room :

 \textsf{Area \: of \: the \: floor \: = \: No. \: of \: Tiles \: × \: Area \: of \: 1 \: Tile }\\  \\  \\   :  \implies\sf{Area \: of \: the \: floor}=2000×600 \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\  \\   : \implies \sf{ Area \: of \: the \:  floor \:} = {\mathfrak{\pmb{ 1200000 \:  {cm}^{2} }} }\\  \\  \\

Hence, Area of the floor of the Drawing room is 1200000 cm²
