area of the floor=20m*70m=1400

area of one tile=0.5 m*0.5m=0.25m

no.of tiles=area of floor/area of one tile

=1400/0.25m

=5600 tiles needed

side of tile = 0.5m

area of hall = length×breath
=20m×70m
=1400m

area of tile = side×side
=0.5m×0.5m
=0.25m

no .\: of \: tile = \frac{area \: of \: hall}{area \: of \: tile}
=1400m/0.25m
=5600
