The floor of a hall is completely covered by 26 carpets, each measuring 4 m by 2.5 m. What is the area of the area of the hall?

area of one carpet=lb
4×2.5

area of 26 carpets= area of one carpet ×26
10×26
260msq.

Solution :-

Length of each carpet = 4 m

Breadth of each carpet = 2.5 m

Area of each carpet = 4 × 2.5

= 10 sq m

Area of 26 carpets = 10 × 26

= 260 sq m

Area of floor of the hall = Area of 26 carpets = 260 sq m

So, area of floor of the hall is 260 sq m
