Given -

The floor of a hall is completely covered by 26 carpets.

Each of them measures 4m in length and 3m in breadth.

To find -

Area of the floor of the hall.

Lets assume that the shape of the carpet is rectangular because length and breadth are seperately given.

We know that area of rectangle is

l \times b

Length = 4m, Breadth = 3m

Area of one carpet =

l \times b \\  = 4 \: m \:  \times 3 \: m \\  =  {12 \: m}^{2}

Area of one carpet is 12 m²

No. of carpets = 26

Area of the floor = 26 × 12

= 312 m²

Area of the floor of the hall is 312 .

Answer:

area of floor is

length is 4m

breath is 3

length and breadth is given min it is rectangle

area of rectangle is l×b

4×3=12m

total carpets is 26 so can multiply ans 12 m so we get answers

26×12=312m

total area of floor is 312m
