Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular hall = 40 × 24

= 1120m²

area of carpet = 6×4

= 24m²

therefore number of carpets = 1120/24

= 40 carpets

hope this helps ☺️

\Large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{\red{Solution}}}}}}

\Large{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{\orange{Given}}}}}

  • Length of rectangular floor of hall = 40 m
  • Breadth = 24 m
  • Length of carpet = 6 m
  • Breadth of carpet = 4 m

\Large{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{\orange{Find}}}}}

  • Number of carpet

\Large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{\red{Explanation}}}}}}

Using Formula

\small\boxed{\underline{\tt{\green{\:Area_{rectangle}\:=\:Length\times Breadth}}}}

So, Now first calculate area of rectangular Hall

➠ Area of rectangular hall = 40 × 24

➠ Area of rectangular hall = 960 m²

Now, Calculate area of carpet

➠ Area of rectangular carpet = 6 × 4

➠ Area of rectangular carpet = 24 m²

We know, for Number of carpet

If we divide Area of rectangular Hall by Area of Carpet , so we can find the Number of Carpet .

So,

\small\boxed{\underline{\tt{\green{\:Number\:of\:Carpet\:=\:\frac{Area_{ractangular\:hall}}{Area_{carpet}}}}}}

➠Number of Carpet = 960/24

➠Number of Carpet = 40

\Large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{\red{Hence}}}}}}

  • 40 Carpet are required to cover the floor of the hall .
