The floor of a hall of size 15 × 20m is to be covered with a carpet of 2m widt.What is the minimum length of carpet required to cover the floor?

area of the hall= area of the carpet= 20×18=360m^2

length of the carpet=360÷1.5=240m

1m^2 costs Rs10

360m^2 costs 10×360=Rs3600
