Answer :-
Height of the wall is 6 m.
Explanation :-
Perimeter of a rectangular floor = 250 m
We know that
Perimeter of rectangular floor = 2(l + b)
⇒ 250 = 2(l + b)
We know that
Area of the four walls = Lateral surface area of the hall
Let the height of the hall be h m
Lateral surface area of the hall = {2(l + b)} * h
= 250 * h
[ ∵ 2(l + b) = 250 m ]
= 250h m²
Finding height of the hall
Cost of painting 1 m² area = Rs. 10
Cost of painting 250h m² area = 250h * 10
Given
Cost of painting 250h m² (Area of 4 walls) area = Rs. 15000
⇒ 250h * 10 = 15000
⇒ 250h = 15000/10
⇒ 250h = 1500
⇒ h = 1500/250
⇒ h = 150/25
⇒ h = 6
∴ height of the wall is 6 m.
