★ Solution :-
Given,
- Perimeter of the hall = 300 m
- Height of hall = 8m
We need to find ,
- Lateral surface area of hall = ?
As we know that
Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )
Substituting the value of perimeter
⇒ 300 = 2( l + b)
⇒ 300 ÷ 2 = l + b
⇒ l + b = 150 m ………. equation ( 1 )
Now , finding lateral surface area ( LSA )
LSA of cuboid = 2h × ( l + b )
Substituting the known values we have ,
➵ LSA = 2(8) × [ 150 ]
[ ∵ Equation 1 ]
➵ LSA = 16 × 150
➵ LSA = 2400 m²
Hence , lateral surface area of the hall = 2400m²
