Solution :-

Given,

  • Perimeter of the hall = 300 m
  • Height of hall = 8m

We need to find ,

  • Lateral surface area of hall = ?

As we know that

Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )

Substituting the value of perimeter

⇒ 300 = 2( l + b)

⇒ 300 ÷ 2 = l + b

l + b = 150 m . equation ( 1 )

Now , finding lateral surface area ( LSA )

LSA of cuboid = 2h × ( l + b )

Substituting the known values we have ,

➵ LSA = 2(8) × [ 150 ]

[ Equation 1 ]

➵ LSA = 16 × 150

LSA = 2400

Hence , lateral surface area of the hall = 2400m²
