the floor of a rectangular Hall has perimeter 300cm. let the cost of painting of four walls at the rate of reaction. 12per cm2 is rupees 24000 then find the hight of the wall. ​

Answer :

    Height of the wall is 6.67 cm

Solution :

Let, length = l cm

       width = w cm

      height = h cm

Perimeter of the floor = 300 cm (given)

  ⇒ 2 (length + widhth) = 300

  ⇒ 2 (l + w) = 300

  ⇒ l + w = 150 .....(i)

Area of the four walls

  = 2 * height * (length + width)

  = 2h (l + w)

  = 2h * 150 cm²

  = 300h cm²

Cost of painting four walls = Rs 24000 (given)

  ⇒ 300h × 12 = 24000

  ⇒ 3600h = 24000

  ⇒ h ≈ 6.67

         ∴ the height of the wall is 6.67 cm
