Answer:

8 tiles

Step-by-step explanation:

total area of the room =l×b

400×320

128000cm {}^{2}

area covered by a single tile=40×40

=

1600cm {}^{2}

number if tiles required =area of room/area of a tile

=12800÷1600

=8 Tiles

Answer:

Length of the floor=4m=400cm

Breadth of the floor=3.2m=320cm

therefore area of floor=(l*b)=(400*320)cm²

so no. of tiles required of side 40cm

=area of floor/side of tiles

=400*320/(40*40)

=400*8/40

=3200/40

=80

answer- 80 tiles are required to cover the floor.
