length of room = 4 m and breadth of room = 3 m 50 cm = 3.50 m

Area of carpet = length x breadth

= 4 x 3.50 = 14m.sq

Answer:

Area of the floor = side*side =3*4=12m2

Area of the tile = side*side =0.5*0.5=0.25m2

numbers of the tiles required = area of the floor/area of the tile

=12/0.25= 48 tiles.

hope it's helpful
