Length of floor = 675 cm

Breadth of floor = 5 cm

Largest size of square tile = H.C.F. of 675 cm, 5 cm = 5 cm

The floor of a room is 6 metre ,75 cm long and 5 cm wide

6 meter = 600 cm

It is to be paved with square tiles

To Find the largest size of tile needed , we must find the greatest common factor

FIND GCF OF 600, 75 , 5

The factors of 5 are: 1, 5

The factors of 75 are: 1, 3, 5, 15, 25, 75  

The factors of 600 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 24, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 100, 120, 150, 200, 300, 600

Then the greatest common factor is 5.

Thus the largest size of square tile needed is of 5 cm side length
