Given :–

Total number of tiles in the room = 125

Number of black tiles in the room = 65

Area of 1 tile = 0.75m²

As the room consists of only black and white tiles all total. So,

Number of white tiles = [ total number of tiles - number of black tiles]

Number of white tiles = [125 - 65] tiles

Number of white tiles = [60] tiles

a) Area covered by white tiles?

Number of white tiles = 60 tiles

Area of 1 tile = 0.75m²

Area of 60 tiles = 60 × 0.75m²

Area of 60 tiles = 45m²

b) Area covered by black tiles?

Number of black tiles = 65 tiles

Area of 1 tile = 0.75m²

Area of 65 tiles = 65×0.75m²

Area of 65 tiles = 48.75m²

c) Total area of the room?

Number of tiles in the room =125 tiles

Area of 1 tile = 0.75m²

Area of 125 tiles = 125×0.75m²

Area of 125 tiles = 93.75m²
