no. of tiles = area of floor / area of 1 tile = 600 cm×400cm/10cm× 12cm = 2000

area of the floor =4mx6m

=400cmx600cm(1m=100cm)

=240000cm^2

area of tile= 10cm x 12cm

=120cm^2

therefore, no. of tiles required= 240000cm^2 /

120cm^2

=2000 tiles.
