the floor of a room is in the shape of a square of side 4.8 M the floor is to be covered with square tiles of perimeter 1.2 metre.find the cost of covering the floor if each tile costs Rs 27

here's ur answer frnd...

given the side of the room is 4.8m

area of the room=side×side(since it's a square room)

=4.8×4.8

=23.04m²

perimeter of the tile=1.2m

side×4=1.2m

side=1.2/4

side=0.3m

area of the tile=side×side

=0.3×0.3

=0.09m²

number of tiles to cover the room=23.04/0.09

=256

hence, 256 tiles are required to cover the floor.

total cost if each tile costs ₹27=256×27

=₹6912
