Solution:-
Perimeter of one tile = 1.2 m
So, length of each side of square tile = Perimeter/4
= 1.2/4
Length of each side of square tile = 0.3 m
Area of each square tile = side *side
= 0.3*0.3
Area of each tile = 0.09 sq m
Area of the floor = 4.8 × 4.8
Area of the floor = 23.04 sq m
Total number of tiles required = Area of the floor/Area of each tile
= 23.04/0.09
Total tiles required = 256
Total cost of covering the floor with tiles = 256 × 27
= Rs. 6912
