The floor of a room measure 5.5 metre by a 4 metre how many tiles each measuring 11 by 5 cm are required to cover the floor

at first the area of the floor:--

5.5m × 4m

= 550cm × 400cm =220000 √cm

than the area of each tiles:--

11cm × 5cm = 55√cm

so the answer is----

20000 ÷ 55 = 4000

# 4000 piece tiles required to cover the floor.
