The floor of a room measures 12 by 9 M it is to be covered with marble tiles measuring 45 CM by 30 cm how many tiles are needed

Here's the answer:-

To find the number of tiles required we have to divide the area of the floor by area of the tiles. The unit of area will be cancelled and just a numeric value will be left denoting the number of tiles.

Area of the floor = 12m × 9m = 1200cm× 900cm = 1080000cm²

Area of the floor = 45 cm × 30 cm = 1350 cm²

So, number of tiles required = 1080000/1350= 800

So, the answer is 800
