Answer:

1/2d1×d2

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2×45×30

=45×15

=675

total cost of tiles is 3000×675=Rs.2025000

Given:

✰ The floor of building consist of 3000 tiles which are rhombus shaped.

✰ Each of its diagnals of rhombus are 45 cm and 30 cm in length.

To find:

✠ The total cost of polishing the floor, if the cost per meter square is Rs. 10.

Solution:

First we will find area of a tile, as a tile is a rhombus, so we will use the formula to calculate area of a rhombus. Then we find the area of floor, after finding the area of floor, we will multiply it by rate given to us as Rs. 10 to calculate the cost of polishing the floor.

Area of rhombus = 1/2 ( product of it's diagonals

⟹ Area of tile = 1/2 × ( product of it's diagonals )

⟹ Area of tile = 1/2 × 45 × 30

⟹ Area of tile = 45 × 15

⟹ Area of tile = 675 cm²

Now,

⟹ Area of one tile = 675 cm²

⟹ Area of 3000 such titles = 675 × 3000

⟹ Area of 3000 such titles = 2025000 cm²

⟹ Area of 3000 such titles = 2025000/10000

[ ∵ 1 cm² = 1/10000 m² ( we need to convert it into metres because the rate is given to us per meter square ]

⟹ Area of 3000 such titles = 2025/10

⟹ Area of 3000 such titles = 202.5 m²

Area of floor = 202.5

Cost of polishing the floor = Area of floor × rate

➤ Cost of polishing the floor = 202.5 × 10

➤ Cost of polishing the floor = Rs. 2025

The total cost of polishing the floor = Rs. 2025
