The floor of dimension 10m×5m is to be covered with rectangular tiles of dimension 20cm by 5cm find the number of tiles required to cover the floor

covert m into cm
10m= 1000cm
5m= 500cm
no. of tiles= dimension of floor÷ dimension of tiles
= 1000×500/20×5
= 1000 tiles
