Answer:

Given :-

The floor of a room measures 12 m by 10 m. A carpet is placed on the floor from wall to wall.

To Find :-

What is the area of the carpet ?

Solution :-

Given that,

→ Length of floor is = 12m.

→ Breadth of floor is = 10m.

So ,

→ Area of floor = Length * Breadth = 12 * 10 = 120m².

Now,it has been said that, the carpet is placed on the floor from wall to wall.

Therefore ,

→ The area of carpet = Area of floor .

→ Area of carpet = 120 m². (Option A) (Ans.)

Some extra formula :-

Area of four walls of a room = 2(length + breadth) * Height .

Area of floor = Area of ceiling . = Length * Breadth .
