At the first trophic level, primary produces use solar energy to produce organic plant material through photosynthesis decomposers process large amount of organic material and return nutrients to the ecosystem in organic form which are then take up again to primary.

"The flow of energy in an ecosystem is one-way"

1. The sun is the most important source of energy in an ecosystem.

2.Green plants of the ecosystem store of some of the solar energy in the form of food .

3. Before reaching the decomposers , this energy is passed on from one trophic level To the next .

4. Decomposers dissipate some amount of energy in the form of heat.

5. However no part of the energy ever returns to the sun.

Hence , such passage of energy is referred to as 'one way' transport.

I hope it will help you.☺️☺️
