The focal length of a converging lens is 20 . An object is 60 cm from the lens . Where will the image formed ? Write the nature of The image.

Given:f=20 , u=-60, v=?

formula of lense =1/v-1/u=1/f

1/v=1/f+1/u

1/v=1/20-1/60.

=60-20/1200

=40/1200.

v=1200/40=30cm.

The object is placed beyond 2F1.So, the image is formed between 2F2 and F2.

If this is a case then the image will be real, inverted and diminished image.
