the focal length of a convex lens is 20 cm ,if the image formed by it is twise in size .find the position of the object ( explain in easy word ,all steps )​

Magnification formula there bro for lens which is v/u (v=Image Distance, u= Object Distance)

Here You gave Twice in Size bro. So v/u=2

From that, We will get v=2u

Now Apply Lens Formula Bro (Formula is 1/v - 1/u = 1/f)

1/2u - 1/u = 1/20

Then Take LCM Bro

u-2u/2u^2= 1/20

-u/2u^2 = 1/20

Now Cancel "u" bro, You will get

-1/2u = 1/20

Now You will get

-20= 2u

-10= u

So the Position of the object is 10 cm in front of the lens bro.
