Hello mate..

Question:

The focal length of a convex lens is 40 cm. Calculate the power of lens.

Solution:

Focal length = 40 cm => 0.4m

</strong><strong>Power \: of \: lens \: (p) \:  =  \:  \frac{1}{f}</strong><strong> </strong><strong>

Where,

  • f = focal length.

p \:  =  \:  \frac{1}{0.4}

p \:  =  \: 2.5D

Where,

  • D = Dipoter.

Therefore, power of lens = 2.5D
