if we assume that the largest value is 14 and the smallest one is 3 then the range is 11 so

3=<x<=14

now if x = 8 then :

3 7 8 8 8 14 and the median is (8+8)/2=8

if x=7 then

3 7 7 8 8 14 and then the median is (7+8)/2=7.5 so x =/= 7

if 3<=x<7 then

3 x 7 8 8 14

and the median is 7.5 which is wrong

if 8<x<=14 then

3 7 8 8 x 14 then the median is 8+8/2=8

so x can be any number from 8 to 14 meaning that

x = 8 or 9 or 10 or 11 or 12 or 13 or 14
