The angles x=55° and y=55° when the triangles ABC is an isosceles triangle with one angle is 70°.

Given that,

We have to find the x and y values.

We know that,

In the picture we have a triangle ABC with angles 70°,x° and y°.

So,

The two sides are also equal that means it is an isosceles triangle.

So, the angles will also be equal that means x =y

In a triangle we know sum of the angles is equal to 180°

So,

70+x+y=180

x+y=180-70

x+y=110

x+x=110

2x=110

x=\frac{110}{2}

x=55°

And y=55°  (because x=y)

Therefore, The angles x=55° and y=55° when the triangles ABC is an isosceles triangle with one angle is 70°.
