the following is written in my physics book.
" Flow of heat : when a small hot iron ball is dropped into a trough of warm water, ball loses heat which is gained by water this takes place in spite of the fact that the amount of heat contained in the ball is much smaller that contained in the trough of water. Heat flows from body at high temperature to that at a low temperature this it is temperature of body which determine the direction of flow of heat"
My question is why does it says that inspite of the fact that the amount of heat contained in the ball is much smaller that contained in the trough of water? it also says in the diagram that ball is much hotter than water

Answer:
water of bucket has more surface area so heat will be distributed and the has less surface area so the heat will be more that why when we put it in the container the heat will be distributed
