The following observations were made during a trial on a steam
condenser.
Condenser vacuum – 700mm of Hg; Barometer reading 765mm of
Hg: Mean condenser temperature 35°C: Hot well temperature
28°C; Cooling water temperature at inlet - 20°C. Cooling water
temperature at outlet - 32°C.
Determine: (i)Corrected vacuum (ii)Vacuum efficiency (1) Condenser
efficiency (iv)Partial pressure of air and steam (V)Mass of air per mof
condenser volume.
