Total no of farmers who claimed Suicide in the year 2016 = 2,56,000 .
Study the graphs carefully and answer the following question :-
Number of farmers who claimed suicide in state Haryana is 100% more than that in state MP. Find the total no. of male farmers who claimed suicide in state MP. ?
Solution :-
given that,
→ No. of farmers who claimed suicide in haryana = 100% more than state MP
→ No. of farmers who claimed suicide in haryana = 2 * MP
→ 24% = 2 * MP
→ MP = 12% = who claimed suicide .
then,
→ Total number of farmers who claimed suicide in MP = 12% of total farmers who claimed suicide = 12% of 256000 = (12 * 256000)/100 = 30720 .
now, given that,
Ratio of male to female who claimed suicide in MP = 5 : 1 .
therefore,
→ Number of male = (5/6) of total number of farmers who claimed suicide in MP .
→ Number of male = (5/6) * 30720 = 25,600 (Ans.)
Hence, the total no. of male farmers who claimed suicide in state MP are 25,600 .
