Answer:

(i) students playing cricket= 45

to find= no. of students playing hockey

90/360 x total students = 45

total students= 45 x 360/90=45x 4 =180

to find no. of students playing hockey we have to find no of students playing tennis

360 - 240 = x + (x- 20 )

120 = 2x -20

2x = 120 +20

2x = 140

x = 140/2 = 70

no. of students playing tennis = 70/360 x 180 = 35

no. of students playing hockey= x - 20= 70 - 20= 50

50/360 x 180 = 25

(ii)students who play badminton= 20/360 x 180=10

students who play basketball=70/360 x 180 = 35

sum = 35 + 10 = 45

students who play football = 60/360 x 180= 30

students who play tennis = 35

sum = 30 + 35 = 65

difference in their sum = 65 - 45 = 20
